This usually comes about because of a child’s presenting challenges with social interaction, social communication, possible intellectual exceptionalities, concerning or unusual behaviors, and differences in how a child is processing incoming sensory information.
Our Wishing Star clinicians have expertise specific to the assessment, diagnosis, and support of Autism Spectrum Disorders for children ages 6 years and older. Following best practice guidelines for the identification of ASD, including the use of British Columbia Autism Assessment Network (BCAAN) mandated assessment measures, our team will walk alongside you throughout the diagnostic process.
If you are considering an Austism Spectrum Disorder assessment for your child, contact our administrative team who are able to answer any questions you might have about the process, and guide you through our complete assessment process from booking through to a full debrief of results and guidance towards follow-up supports.
